Open a black rectangular box with holes on the lid and sidesd and show six coloured wooden blocks inside.
Remove all the blocks and ask the spectator to select two of them.
Return the blocks back into the box, close the lid and show the colours are visible through the holes in the lid as before.
Now pass a long plastic needle with a ribbon through the holes in the sides of the box thus impaling all the blocks inside.
Make some magic passes then open the box. Holding on to the ribbon on both sides. tip all the blocks out.
Only the two selected blocks will fall out, the rest remaining impaled on the ribbon.
Everything can be fully examined by the spectator.
You can dispense with the ribbon and use only the needle; the two selected blocks will fall out leaving the rest impaled on the needle.
